(Thursday, September 2nd) It was a long day for the CCN crew as we packed our bags into the car and left for Vancouver airport at 5:30am. In no less than two plane rides and 8 tiny aircraft coffees we arrived in Quebec City.

We jumped out of the cab outside MSA and checked into the most interesting motel we saw.

This place was straight out of the seventies; it had a strange vibe like it was straight out of a horror movie. It wasn't just the first impression that we liked, as owners were gracious and really friendly plus they had possibly the strangest accent I have ever heard, Chinese/French, makes for very interesting conversation.

With our bags stored it was off to the local corner store to stock up on essentials; namely Labatt 50 and Stella then a bland lasagne meal at a greasy spoon across the street.  Once again being reminded of that valuable lesson.. When eating at a place that specializes in burgers and steak, don't order the pasta.  Unfortunately we turned up too late to watch the 4X qualifiers but it was a long night of posting and preparing. So for now over and out, CCN is at the Worlds!

Luckily there is a cheese factory right across from the motel...just in case we get a hankering. Photo: Matthew Mallory

Unfortunately we missed the 4X qualifiers so we employed the services of a local sketch artist to recreate the Elite Men's final heat. Photo: Matthew Mallory
