On Friday 5th, 2010, we headed to Seattle for the opening premiere of Awesome Land Women of Dirt. Luckily we got a ticket as the show was sold out and they had to schedule a second showing that night due to the demand. This movie premiere wasn't just gathering around a big screen in the bar-it was held in a Seattle theatre with the name in lights above the door!
The movie features the following riders- Dawn Cashen, Lisa Myklak, Emily Johnston, Katrina Strand, Kathy Pruitt, Darcy Turenne, Jaime Hill, Cierra Smith, Leana Gerrard, Jill Kintner, Tammy Donahugh, Stephanie Nychka, IMBA Pacific Northwest Regional Director Anna Wells and many other riders. Women of Dirt breaks the mold of many mountain bike films providing a new approach and storyline that entertain a wide audience.
'I got the feeling that Filmakers Mark Brent and Miles Sullivan hit the nail on the head with this production' said Mike Estes. Another class production from the Bones Over Metal team!
More premieres are being scheduled in the United States and Canada-keep an eye out for them. We will post dates and locations when they are released. We certainly look forward to what's next from the Awesome Land series.
