The inaugural Ride for Recess is now open for registrations and donations.  It is a challenging ride, up the toughest hill in Vancouver, B.C. - Mount Seymour.

Ride for reason: Tillicum Elementary is an inner-city school located in Vancouver's East-side on Nanaimo street, near McGill street.  The parents of Tillicum students, are raising funds towards building a new playground that can be enjoyed by the school children and the neighbourhood community.

The ride is only 12.5 km, but it is 1000m of steady climbing at a 7.5% grade. It will be a tough ride, but you will have the satisfaction of knowing you can ride up the mountain and that you helped make a lot of kids happy along the way.

All of the proceeds of the ride will be going towards building a new playground for some of the more deserving kids in our community at Tillicum Elementary school in East Vancouver. For more details about the event, please visit Ride for Recess.

Of course, like every event, volunteers make it happen so if you can't ride, please volunteer and donate.
