Vision
Every stroke survivor in British Columbia has respect, inclusion, and support in their home community.
Mission Statement
Through its regional Stroke Recovery Branches, the Stroke Recovery Association of British Columbia is committed to empowering stroke survivors and their caregivers, throughout British Columbia, to enable independence and improve their overall quality of life.
Objectives
- Establishing policies and guidelines for local Stroke Recovery branch operations
- Developing and publishing guidelines and standards for local Stroke Recovery branch service delivery
- Providing funding to support local service delivery and local branch operations
- Providing a branch network and forum for the exchange of information and ideas across the organization
- Disseminating educational and informational materials to the local Stroke Recovery branches
- The Provincial Association is further committed to ensuring local Stroke Recovery branches are distributed effectively throughout the Province to enable stroke survivors, who are desirous of support and participation, to be served.
- In addition, the Provincial Association is dedicated to raising the profile and the awareness in the community of the Association and of the services offered throughout the Province to stroke survivors and their caregivers.
- Since fund-raising is a prime activity for the Association, in that without sufficient funding consistent program and service delivery is impossible, this is a key area of focus for the Provincial Association.
